Abstract
Suizhong Mijia Ding was a dowry made for a Chu princess during the middle stage of the Spring and Autumn Period. This ding is massive in volume, with exquisite decorations and sophisticated casting technologies, that renders a perfect visual effect. Through the analysis of the ding’s characteristics, this paper concludes that these characteristics was a signifier for the identity of the upper class nobles, and as a lens which the nobles displayed their ideals on ritual vessels. clues to how we understand the native bronze styles from the midstream area of the Yangtze River.
随仲嬭加鼎为春秋中期一件楚王所作媵器。此鼎体量高大、纹饰精致、铸造工艺十分考究,整体给人以极佳的视觉效果。本文通过对此鼎的观察并对上述特征进行分析,认为这些特点反映了其背后所代表的高等级贵族身份,同时,也反映出这一时期高等级贵族对于传统礼器的看法。
